Dina is a native of Forest Hills Queens and raised there. She moved to Dix Hills Long Island before the conclusion of her senior year in high school. Her siblings include one of whom is older, named Gregory as well as a younger sibling named Evan. The first time she was in the industry of entertainment was as she was modeling between the ages of nine and sixteen. Ron Stetson trained her in the acting techniques of Sanford Meisner at The Neighborhood Playhouse. The process took approximately three years. Sandra Bullock received similar training as did Michael Douglas and Jeff Goldblum. Leslie Nielsen, Diane Keaton and Diane Keaton are also among the actors who have received this type of training. The first film she appeared in was Beverly Hills 90210 which forced her to make the move in Los Angeles. The role was as the lead lady on Johnny Mnemonic in which she was able to perform almost every stunt her self, establishing herself as a skilled actor. Her agent was Matt LeBlanc, so through her talent agent, she was able to land a regular role in the show Friends.
